Faction Application - LS Logistics

Jan 28, 2020
This application is a work in progress. Will complete it soon but thought it would be good to get this out while I consider things a bit more. Suggestions are welcome of course.

Faction Application

Faction Application Form

General Faction Information
1.0) Faction Name: LS Logistics
1.1) Legal/Illegal: Legal
1.1.0) If your faction is illegal, do you have any legal fronts?:

2.0) Total leader play time: Only joined recently, but play time is increasing rapidly
2.1) Current up-to-date amount of members: 1, but should be open to all
  • John Pazzi - NoPizzaNoGlory

3.0) Property Ownership | Requesting Property: A location at the docks would be great. Preferably one with plenty of parking space for larger vehicles (maybe trucks with trailers?). There is a large warehouse where in GTAO also a helicopter spawns. It also has an office which would be perfect for this.

An even better location might be this one (and maybe just call the faction Walker Logistics :) ):

3.0.0) This property must be relative to your faction whether it be a gang area, house or, business. You may also request a property as long as it is not in use

3.1) Does your faction require any script support?: Yes. See below.

3.2) What are your factions long term goals?:
Providing a way for new players to earn money while roleplaying with "colleagues". Jobs would be similar to the current delivery job, but starting from the faction's warehouse instead. The player would receive a little more than the regular job and the faction would also earn some cash. This to motivate people to move from scripted jobs to this faction and roleplay instead. Eventually there should be an office as well where staff can dispatch drivers (starting the job for another player), do job interviews, etc.

4.0) Screenshots of role play & story:

4.1) Additional comments:

This would require some changes to the existing delivery job. It would also require trucks/vans to be available at the car dealership. Or some other way to get those into the faction when I have enough money to afford them. Would also need a way to set ranks (owner, dispatcher, truck/van driver, etc). Dispatched jobs (started for another player that (also) has the dispatcher rank) should pay a little more than jobs started by the driver himself (more motivation to RP).

(Potential) delivery job changes

  • Allow to use faction vehicles
  • Allow faction members with dispatcher role to start job for faction members with driver role (maybe differentiate between van/truck drivers)
  • Pay player a little more than regular scripted job when doing the job for a (transport type) faction
  • Also pay the faction a bit (allow faction to set their cut of the player's payment if you really want to go the extra mile)
  • More routes, some longer and some shorter with different payments
  • 2 Types of routes: for vans and trucks. the truck routes could be 1 drop off point but further away on the map. Van routes as they are now.
  • Allow to start job from faction vehicle

Faction specific changes

  • Faction type (transport, regular business, other, etc)
  • Allow members to have any of these roles (more than 1 possible): van driver, truck driver, dispatcher, recruiter, manager
  • Allow faction to set a uniforms employees should wear when on the job
  • Allow faction members to change into any of these uniforms with commands (/f1uniform 1, /f1uniform 2, f2uniform 1, etc)
  • Allow faction members to change back into their regular costume with a command (/funiform off)

Van driver
Can start a new delivery job himself or ask a dispatcher to start one (the latter paying more). Can only drive in faction vehicles of van type.

Truck driver
Same as van driver, but can only drive truck type vehicles (set both roles to allow both types).

Can drive in small faction vehicles (including vans) but can't start jobs for himself (unless he's also a driver). Can start new jobs for faction members with driver role (van route or truck route, or both if player has both driver roles). Commands could be /f1startjob [player], /f2startjob [player] etc for multiple factions. Player would have to be inside the faction vehicle already at which point the job would start for the matching vehicle type. Otherwise just return an error message "Player is not inside a vehicle".

Can hire/fire new members. Can set recruiter, dispatcher and driver roles to them. Can not fire/change any members with manager role as they outrank them.

Same as recruiter, but can also manage the faction as the owner (apart from disbanding the faction or firing/changing the owner)

I admit I didn’t read every detail but this sounds more like a controllable scripted job.

Would be better if everything was IC. Could start supply contracts for businesses and such.
